Dorcas Missionary Circle
Dorcas Missionary Circle endeavors to put Christianity in "shoe leather".
In Acts 9:40, Dorcas is first introduced to us as a woman who did much good works for Christ. She did what she could for widows in the name of Jesus. One day she died. Her work for the Lord resulted in such an outpouring of love from the saints she helped that Peter was compelled to ask God to raise her from the dead. Her work for Christ on earth continued and was recorded for our example to follow. As a result, there are countless Dorcas Missionary Societies all over the country.
By being a part of the Dorcas Missionary Society, we will be "Arms" and "Hands" extended to do the work of the Lord through providing needs of our more than 35 Missionaries, Operation Christmas Child, which we have dubbed "Operation Children for Christ", fund raisers for our Manna Mission Trip in 2007 and more. It is our desire also to train up the younger women of the church to be keepers at home, and Godly women as the Bible instructs. As God guides, we'll provide...and pray...for the furthering of the kingdom of Christ and his gospel.
